NIE response to press comment
In response to recent press speculation, Northern Ireland Electricity plc confirms that Viridian Group Holdings Limited, its parent company, is in discussions with ESB regarding a possible conditional sale of Northern Ireland Electricity, the Viridian Group’s transmission and distribution business. These discussions may or may not lead to a transaction and a further announcement will be made if agreement is reached.
